Dispute on Billing letter

Avis - Dispute on Billing letter
I have been using Avis for my daily office use for the last 9 months. However, my last Avis rental experience was awful. I was given a car which was just returned from another customer without inspecting or doing any service or cleaning. As I was using Avis for last 9 months I trusted the service and accepted the old car. As expected, the battery of the car died with just parking for a couple of days in my parking lot without any lights or any other equipment on. I called the customer service, and they confirmed that the battery was down and I had no way of moving the car or returning it to the Avis center. They told me that they will send roadside assistance for jump start and never explained about the cost of the roadside assistance. In this situation, I didn't have any other option apart from calling the roadside assistance and I immediately returned the car as I realized everyday it will be the same case with the car. I had prepaid for 30 days of use and returned with only 13 days. I haven't got any refund for the early return and also I am losing trust with Avis rental services. I request you to kindly inspect the history of the vehicle as I am sure other customers using the same vehicle will have issues and replace the battery and do the proper servicing of the car. I want you to cancel the roadside assistance fee which should be communicated before the service and refund my account for 17 days of not using the car. I would also bring this issue with my employer to share feedback of the Avis services.

User's recommendation: Don't accept old cars as they will definitely breakdown and its a scam to charge more money to your card.

Damaged car sell at Revonia branch

Avis - Damaged car sell at Revonia branch
I bought a car June 2021 at Avis revonia branch at 35000 mileage after two weeks I had to change brake pads. When time goes on I realize that the car had Two colors and the doors were not aligned it seem like the car was involved in an accident I asked Avis to exchange the car they refuse and gave me offer to repaint one door and alignment. The car rails are full of rust I didn't take the offer due to fear I have that the car might be having more hidden info to it which can affect me later on. I sent later to the manger of Rivonia branch(Marius Grobbelaar) but my complaint was ignored. The sell man, Mr griffies sewela it's so rude.

User's recommendation: Do not buy car at Avis Revonia branch you will regret the experience.

Outrageous charges

I rented a car from Avis In Rome, I paid $370.21 to Expedia. Then when I got to the airport I used a different credit card for the hold fees, after I returned the car and left the country I got a bill for $1194.83 on the second credit card. Ive tried to challenge through Avis to fix this outrageous price they have denied me and they have a grand total of $1565.04 for a bill that shouldve been around $400. Never use Avis!!!!!

Awful service for a premium price

Wow! What an awful experience! We went with Avis because its a reputable premium service, we prepaid for a premium car for a family vacation. And when we arrived to pick up our car there was not car ready. They offered us a car with a cracked windshield and a free tank of gas for the inconvenience or an option to downgrade at the same price we paid for the premium vehicle. No option to speak to a manager and the justification given was sorry, man! Its the pandemic! And ended up giving us smoked-through vehicle. I understand its a difficult time for many industries, but if you accept a reservation and take our money - it doesnt feel unreasonable to expect to receive the promised service and product.

Why haven't I got my deposit back? I've waited the 14 buisness days.

I rented a car from Avis on august 19th and returned it on august 28th. Ive also waited the 14 business days and still nothing. I brought the car back in perfect condition. So why havent I gotten my deposit back?

Still on hold

Renting the car was easy. It was damaged in recent flooding and getting a person at Avis that had any information on what I should be doing, what paperwork to fill out, and if they'd picked up the vehicle after the parking garage had been pumped out was nearly impossible. It's been a week since they picked the car up, and I still can't get a copy of my rental contract. Avis customer support runs you through a lot of options, and if you get someone they're usually out of the country and has no information, and refers you to someone else.

User's recommendation: Go elsewhere for car rentals. Avis/Budget (they're one company) aren't worth the trouble.

Double charged for same rental. Paid for only one

I was charged on my American Express card twice for one week rental of a vehicle. I paid for one week, and notified both by phone/writing to Avis and American Express of the double charge of the same week of rental. Avis told me would credit me back. Never did. American Express removed from bill. Avis turned me into a Collection agency called Viking. I sent all paperwork identifying dble bill

Car was dirty

I was told I had to use a major credit when I arrived and that my debit card was not useable. Now Im being told it was a specialty car which i reserved a standard car. Then I get in the car thirty minutes away I open the glove compartment and there was used tissues In there and clothes tags in the back under the seat. During covid u guys are not cleaning the cars this is unacceptable. When I called customer service Carlos argued that I should have read the terms and conditions and that its my fault. Which again nothing said I had a specialty car.

I have not received my deposit back it has been almost 4 weeks. I have emailed about 4 times and called once.

I want to place a complaint. I purchased a vehicle for rent with Avis and exchanged it to to vehicle trouble and the Mgr changed the vehicle for me with no extra charge then kept my security deposit saying that I took a 1000.00 upgrade on a 267.00 de

Critical review of Gina - Panama city employee at desk

She was rude and unfriendly after my flight was cancelled and I needed a car. I was willing to pay $500 for a car for use of a few hours to drive to Jacksonville. She said there was no drop off charge - it turned there was a $150.00 drop off charge. She told us nothing about the car.
