As a current rental sales employee of this company, it has to be one of the biggest inside company theft scheme Ive ever seen. It starts with the companies policy and training to the sales employees where you have to follow this "wheel of success" which not only rips the customer off but makes the sales agent look like a ***.

If you do not follow these word for word procedures then your marked for termination no matter how well your doing. The "wheel" has trick wording in it to fool the customer and confuse them into taking different items above what they have reserved. The pre-paid gas option is also a trick because it is not taxed yet. You may see a average gas price posted but its less tax which is way over what you would pay on street.

Everything is less tax which isn't told to you. The high ranking sales agents know all these tricks and will add a upgrades or coverage without you knowing. The management knows this but turns a blind eye to the practice. Then if you find coverage or a up-sell later after you've check out, it is near impossible to get it taken off.

If you are a local with a debit card, the system is set to run a credit check and deny you a rental. Its basically like buying a car with all the dealers tricks except you are only renting. If you do take a upgrade or coverage then remember its not taxed yet and its usually a high tax. Read over very carefully before you sign anything!!!

I am only writing this because its a unfair practice that I myself do not approve of but am forced to do if i want a job. I am currently under review to be fired because I disapprove and too honest.

Well at least you don't work for the Avis budget in Winnipeg. Where there is a racist piece of *** manager Dennis Hagen and a useless hybrid manager.

I am going to interview with Avis in a few days. I understand they have a 12 week training program. Here's my plan...

I will take the training and QUIT ON THEIR SORRY *** when it's over! I need to make some quick cash, so why not do it at these *** EXPENSE.

I don't buy the claim that "it's not upper management, it's the local managers and people at the bottom." I call "B.S." on that! If upper management was any good, these horrible things would not be allowed to continue at the company. ***, the upper managers probably have no clue what is going on, and could not possibly care less, either! The are CAPITALISTS, that means they'd put their sister out to *** on a street corner if they could make a dollar doing it!

So for all you poor, exploited and oppressed Avis/Budget folks suffering now, have a laugh courtesy of ME... who will suck AVIS/BUDGET for 12 weeks of pay and quit on their sorry butts!!!! HA HA HA HA HA all the way to the bank!!!!!

BTW, if you AVIS/BUDGET employees had some courage, you'd bring in the UNION... fix those *** for GOOD.

Avis HATES honest dedicated decent hard working employees. They seem to DEPLORE this.

in order to be hired or liked by avis successfully, you either have to be, a very bad sales rep, have a bad accent or have trouble speaking english, or be a sneaky lying cheating scamming snake. Really, there aren't many standards avis holds. If you are an honest good employee, even if you do WELL avis will let you go. They seem to HATE the honest decent good employees.

I've never seen or have been part of such a bad company in my life. Nothing about avis is honest, ethical, or makes any sense. So long as you are an ***, liar, cheater, scam artist, low life avis will hire you with a smile. I've seen racists, criminals, thieves, all types of people hired by avis- obnoxious people who have no sense of morals or manners.

Avis is a disgusting company, run by really messed up people. The managers there are the WORST. It's like they hire children as managers- people in their 20's who have no concept of management, and are *** and immature to run everything. Many of the managers don't even know what's going on and just run around like idiots doing nothing except ruining things.

Avis has to be the most unorganized unethical corrupt company out there. They really screw over everyone from the customers, to the employees. I'm surprised these idiots are still in business and successful. They teach sales people techniques that don't even work, and then punish people for not using their *** techniques that don't work.

They don't reward hard work, good sales, good work ethics, or good employees, they punish them and reward sleazeballs and cheaters and scam artists. Avis sucks beware of this place, nothing about it is run good and it's a big scam

avis is not that bad of a company. What's bad is that the rental agents have to work super hard just to make some money. It's a big scam for the agents. So most of these agents, will add charges to customers rentals and not tell them. They scam the system and steal from customers. I worked there for several months before leaving because the entire operation is run very poorly. There are too many people doing bad transactions and scamming customers.

Worse, the customers who come into rent from avis are just mean people themselves and they want to get scammed it seems, because they trust the rental agents who lie to them. I know I had many customers be suspicious of me scamming them but I was an honest agent, however people who stole from them they let them and did it with a smile on their *** faces. It was frustrating to witness the sheer arrogance and stupidity of these customers, get scammed by these rental agents. The customers themselves were really arrogant, mean, entitled and difficult to deal with. I've never dealt with such rude people in my life and they deserved to be scammed because they are the ones signing the papers and letting the thieving sales agents do it to them! The wheel was not that bad and was not a scam and the wordage wasnt bad either.

Also your coworkers at avis are snakes, many are mean people and all over just not so good people to work with. So if you enjoy working with shady people who enjoy stealing from customers and do it often and have little respect for others then it should be your choice place to work. It's not that the company is that bad it's just the people that work in it and the way it's handled is not so good, along with the idiots who actually go to rent there. It makes you think that birds of a feather flock together. You have these arrogant buffoons renting from these scam artists and they are smiling away as they are being scammed or stolen from and really they could care less. So they deserve to be scammed then. So this company is basically idiots, renting from scam artists who are happy to get scammed and do so with a smile...so nothing is really wrong with the company itself. It's the bottom tier employees and the buffoons renting from there that make the place such a scam.

@the truth

Everything you said is 100 percent truth! Avis treats their employees horrible, so why should they expect the best from their employees?

The managers from the very top to the very bottom, have no ethics or integrity. Most are lazy and immature, and only knows 10percent of their job. "The Wheel" is a circle of pure deception! Tell everyone you know and love, to stay away from Avis and Budget, as they are the same company.

If you don't word it they way they want, expect a write up, suspension, or termination. So sad.

I'm in search of another job, where my co-workers and managers have morals and respect. Wish me luck
