Avis in Kirkwall, Scotland - Cancelled within 15 minutes, still no refund after 14 days
I made a booking with AVIS after being misinformed about no more fees, only to see that there was non included fees within price after completing my booking... I then cancelled straight away and thought I won't bother with a car rental at all... I have now been on phone to Avis and my bank atleast 5 times only to be told each time that Avis do not have the money, and my bank states they need to release the money... getting nowhere and honestly feel like I have been robbed. This is all I can think of doing as calling doesn't seem to get me anywhere anymore. I want my money back ASAP, did not realise it would be this hard to get money back that I do not need to pay...

We had to wait over 40 minutes to get are Rental, when there was no else around. They had 3 workers, but they all had to use the same computer and still didn't even have the car ready.Then she asked if we order a booster and I said no I wanted a car seat, well the car seat wasn't in and we had to walk all the way back to the counter. Worst customer service ever and we won't be back.

The attendant at the counter was so unprofessional and rude Las Angeles. I can’t believe it! Her exact words “ you’re 10 minutes late and if you get an attitude with me, I’ll charge you for an extra day!”

I eventually got my refund. The problem's resolved, but it should never occurred in the first place and when it did occur, it should have been resolve within days, not weeks.

I have used it at Newark and here's how it works. You take the car to the normal return tell them you want curbside drop-off and they drive you in the car you rented to to your choice for departure areas.
No hustling bags onto a bus or train or into another car.
They check your car in when you at the normal return and you get your receipt right there. I won't rent at EWR without doing it every again.

They try to collect what the crooked Avis rental car people report to them. I called Avis, and they said that they noticed damage the next day. I told them that one of their drivers must have done the damage, and was trying to blame it on a customer. Very bad business...

Exactly the same issue. Avis' website say "Receipt is emailed to you within minutes of your return", emailing a link isn't emailing a receipt.Just spent an hour on the phone chasing receipts.
