I rented an Avis Car through the Starwood Preferred Guest Loyalty program (Link to the Avis Website with Coupon code to receive starpoints for rental), I never received the starpoints for the rental. I have called customer service twice and emailed multiple times to try resolve the issue, and Avis refused to award starpoints. I will never use Avis again. They offered me a Jeep Grand Cherokee for the same price as a Camry (which I asked for from the beginning). Than they charged me for the full amount of the Jeep Cherokee. After hours on the phone with them they refused to help me over the phone. I told them I'm on honeymoon in Sedona and I'm not driving round trip 4hrs to fix a mistake the made. Avis is a joke, I reserved a vehicle on the 8th prepaid for the rental... Was supposed to pick up the vehicle on the 16th at 10am. Got to the location only to find out they were closed for good... Contacted Avis customer service and told that location had closed on the 11th... Was given a huge run around and by 2pm I had no choice but to cancel. third time now - drop car off have it checked given the all OK then get a message that there is a scratch or damage - I am a presidents club member J3L42L and this has happened before - how on earth can you come back later and say damage after you give the all clear - I want camera footage now as building a case on you - as before as I am a registered presidents club member you have my signature on file and say this is agrees to anything - sorry... Reserved a mini van in Sept for a trip in Oct. went to pick up the van at appointment time. Young man immediately tried to get us to upgrade. We said no to the rate. Then we're told the van is not available. He offered 2 other vehicles which did not give the leg room for teenagers with long legs on a 10 hour ride. It's already 1 1/2 hours later. I am a preferred member with Avis and they treat you like ***. While traveling for business, I was forced to switch flights to a location where a rental car was no longer necessary. The rental I initially reserved was $178. After having to cancel it because of the situation, they charged me $50 for cancelling and $150 for some non-refundable charges. I literally cancelled it 5 hours after I made the reservation because of flight changes.... Read more

INCOMPETENT: AVIS Denver airport lost my rental after I returned it in. They never checked it in. They keep calling wanting to know if I'm extending a vehicle I returned on the agreed turn in day/time/location. Pick up and drop off at Denver Airport location. 2 day rental.
